The Doctor’s House Wedding Styled Shoot

I love capturing weddings at The Doctor’s House. I think it’s a beautiful venue, and I never get bored of the many locations, the beautiful light it offers, as well as it’s interesting evolution through the seasons. I am thrilled it is featured on today!
I am super excited anytime I am asked to collaborate on creative styled shoots. It’s such an honour to be asked by industry peers to capture their creativity and work. And it’s super fun to be able to ‘play’ and capture a lot of the pretty that goes into dreaming up a wedding and creative shoots. This shoot was dreamed up by Fidan of Designed Dream Weddings. I have had the pleasure of meeting Fidan last year at Heather & Dimitri’s wedding, and had such a great time, not only capturing their memories but working with Fidan and her team. I was super excited when she contacted me, asking to collaborate and  capture her vision. And and am so looking forward to working together this September.
Her vision for this styled shoot was brought to life by an incredible team of vendors. The Heritage Room at The Doctor’s House is a beautiful blend of a muted robin’s egg blue as well as rustic bleached wood. It has beautiful beams, which add to it’s character and architecture. And the room is just filled with lovely light. That was definitely accented that by playing up the pale pinks of cherry blossoms, as well as some greenery and ivories in all of the arrangements. The other details, such as the vintage place setting, the mercury glass votives, and the glow of all of the candles, made everything just sparkle so beautifully. The stationary, which was so lovingly crafted, tied the entire shoot together, and really accented the spring like atmosphere. Patricia’s Cake Creations created a stunning cake, which picked up on the colours in the florals, with tiers of gold, and ivory scallops and lace.
Fidan, thank you for trusting me to capture your vision. I am so thankful for having had the opportunity to collaborate witch such an incredible group of creative vendors.

Copper Creek Golf Club Wedding

I am so thrilled to have Tiana & Brendan’s incredible Copper Creek Golf Club wedding Featured on WedLuxe today.

It’s always an honour to grace the pages of their publication. So this just made my week!

If you’d like to see more photos from Tiana & Brendan’s day, take a look at the full blog post here.

Here are a few details from the couple:

How did he propose?
We were walking their family dog around the Casa Loma grounds on December, 30, 2014. Brendan and the dog were running races right in front of the Casa Loma stables. On the last lap, the dog and Brendan ran back towards me, and a small white bow that had “Marry me?” on the dog’s leash (which Brendan had quickly slipped on the leash just before), caught my eye. As soon as I said yes, Brendan had organized for my family to surprise us right around the corner to celebrate on the Casa Loma grounds. I was so excited and could hardly believe it was all happening…I am fairly certain the first words that came out of my mouth when Brendan got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, were, “Is this really happening?!”

What was the best part of planning your wedding?
Getting to spend time with family and having a fun excuse to travel back to Toronto.

What was your biggest priority when planning your wedding?
To completely enjoy our day, stress-free, and share an amazing celebration with our family and closest friends.

What was the overall theme of your wedding? What was your goal or vision for your wedding day?
Elegant, garden-inspired, French romance. Our vision for our wedding day was to see all of our family and close friends enjoying themselves.

What was your favourite moment on the wedding day?
Holding hands and walking down the aisle as Mr. & Mrs. with huge smiles across our faces in front of all our family and closest friends.

Is there anything you would have done differently?
Absolutely not—we had achieved our largest wish—absolutely everybody had a lovely time—we had a full dance floor at the end of the night and nobody wanted to leave!
