Jo Jo & Ray
Jo Jo and Ray had the perfect wedding at Canoe. It is truly one of our favourite spots in the city to shoot. One – because of the view, and two – because of the food. I think Ray & Jo Jo, being absolute foodies themselves, truly appreciated just that. They planned their honeymoon in Copenhagen just so they could go to a restaurant they have been trying to get reservations to, for ages. I loved that they ordered their favourite coconut cream pie from Scaramouche in Toronto, to cut instead of a wedding cake. [I am now so so curious to try it]
Jo Jo and Ray totally embraced the urban wedding. They got ready at The Ritz Carlton, and after their first look, had an awesome walk (with a few photos stops along the way), with their bridal party all the way to Canoe, for the ceremony & beautiful reception.
I love it when we encounter small world moments with our clients. Living in such a big city, I love it when little run ins with people really play up the six degrees of separation theory. Adam, had a perfect small world moment when shooting Jo Jo and Ray. Jo Jo grew up in Newfoundland and did a placement years ago in Lab City and actually delivered her first baby as a doctor with Adam’s Godfather.
Jo Jo & Ray, thank you so much for trusting us to capture your wedding day. Adam and Robyn had an incredible time with you. Adam said it was an awesome day all the way around, love was in the air and you were so easy to photograph. Thank you to Mimi & Vincent for passing our name along! ;o)
