Kim & Giacomo – Engagement photo shoot with horses
These Stoufville country farm engagement photos included horses, and an amazing couple, what better combo can a photographer ask for.
Kim & Giacomo’s farm engagement photos were a long time in the making, we rescheduled the session a couple of times, as the weather called for rainy skies. So finally, the day of the session, I think the weather was calling for a 7% chance of rain. Of course we went ahead and met at Kim’s friends’ family farm in Stoufville. Kim and Giacomo were so in love with the beautifully rustic landscape of a functioning farm. Kim also grew up riding horses, so she knew she wanted to incorporate these beautiful creatures into their session.
We began shooting, and about 15 minutes in, the skies opened up and it poured. Not just a few fun raindrops, but a torrential downpour. As we sat in the car, waiting out the rain, we realized the entire farm was under the rain cloud, but nothing in the surrounding area. We laughed about the fact that even with a 7% chance of rain, we were stuck in this rain, which kept on going and going, we seriously considered redoing the session another day. After almost 1hr, the rain cleared out, and we were able to start shooting again.
With the rainy weather behind us, we had a lot of fun exploring the farm. [Thanks to Nicole and family for allowing us access to your beautiful property] Kim and Giacomo, thank you so much for being great sports, honestly, as positive as I was trying to stay in the car, part of me was worried that the rain would not stop.
I am so excited to capture your wedding next year, and had a blast getting to know you during your farm engagement photo session. I promise to find that earring backing. ;o)
Congratulations!
Beautiful Setting and Pictures??
