Rachel & Shane
I was so excited to shoot this Hotel Ocho wedding. Rachel & Shane stole my heart, truly. When I initially met Rachel, the conversation flowed so easily, as if we had been friends for years. Then during our engagement session I met Shane, and the three of us chatted the evening away as we wandered around High Park, it was awesome. They are awesome!
Rachel and Shane met while lifeguarding at a local pool one summer, they were totally crushing on each other, and that’s where it all started. At the end of the summer, before they went off to different universities, Rachel wrote Shane a love letter…and in the fall they went off to school. They did not keep in touch all through university. One summer’s evening, Rachel was strolling Queen Street during the Toronto Jazz festival, the crowds parted, and she saw the boy who stole her heart a few years back on that pool deck.
Kismet.
The rest is history.
It’s amazing that you can meet your love…go your separate ways and if it’s meant to be, it’ll be. I guess that’s how fate weaves our stories.
Rachel and Shane, it’s couples like you that make me love what I do, that make me believe in love and all that is good and genuine in people.
I feel so so honoured to have gotten to know you through your wedding planning process, and to have had the pleasure of capturing your wedding day memories and your love.
Thank you to the ever fantastic Robyn, for being my amazing look-alike sidekick!
