This was my my first time there…this Alderlea Wedding in Brampton was a vintage inspired dream. Complete with a stunning fascinator and a super intimate ceremony. As well as some photos with the couples beautiful Airedale puppos!
I went to school with the Bride, Dee. We both studied photography at Ryerson. I was so honoured when Dee and Lare contacted me to see if I was available. It was so exciting to be invited by someone you know, to capture their wedding day moments. Dee and Lare wanted their Alderlea wedding day to be a no fuss event. They chose the Alderlea Mansion in Brampton, because of it’s historical significance and beauty. I know dee loves all things elegant and vintage, so when I found out about the location of their wedding, it felt like the perfect fit. It is such a gem, it has been recently restored and renovated. But the beautiful thing is, they kept all of the incredible details that made this spot so very unique. From the lighting fixtures to the fireplace, it is just stunning. It is built in the Italianate architectural style, with gorgeous details such as wrap-around verandah, tall windows and wood detailing. Yup, you guessed it…I’m kinda an architecture nerd!
Dee got ready in the upstairs suite, which was filled with so much beautiful light. The room was buzzing with friends and family popping in to say a quick hello as she was getting her make up finished up. It was so lovely to be able to capture the smiles and chats and quick congrats.
Dee and Lare’s Alderlea wedding day was a bit chilly, but so gorgeous! Between hugs, and me getting them to run with their pups, I think we did a good job in keeping everyone warm.
