Veronica & Julius – The Doctor’s House Wedding
We love shooting weddings at The Doctor’s House, this was the second one this year, and honestly, each time we do shoot at The Doctor’s House we find new hidden spots to use, the light changes from season to season, making it super fun for us to explore and get creative with our images.
Veronica and Julius are basically my neighbours and our paths must have crossed at some point. Considering both my husband and I, and Veronica and Julius spend a lot of time at the local Lowes or Home Depot [gotta love home projects]. I got to know about their love for little projects and renovations, during our awesome engagement session on the University of Toronto campus earlier this year. Veronica dreams up and designs the projects, and Julius being the handy guy he is, makes them reality. In my opinion, that’s quite a perfect combo.
Their beautiful wedding was something Veronica has been designing for a long time, and Julius delivered.
Their beautiful Doctor’s House wedding was the perfect combo of awesome vendors coming together and a lot of thought, heart and work put in by the couple themselevs. There were so many beautiful DIY projects.
The floral stands, which Julius made himself. Added a woodsy rustic element to the colourful blooms which dressed the tables. The guest signing board, was repurposed hardwood flooring. And with a bit of creative design from Veronica and Julius, it made for such a beautiful keepsake. To top it all off, Veronica made their wedding cake! This was not just any wedding cake. It was so beautifully thought out, and so incredibly complex. With tiers of florals, wood, greenery, and of course a delicious centre. This was one of the prettiest cakes I have yet to photograph and I could not believe the bride herself, took on the task of making a large, beautiful, yummy cake. It was incredible. Take a look at more of her beautiful work.
Veronica and Julius, thank you for trusting us to capture your wedding day memories. I hope you enjoyed your magical honeymoon, congrats!!!
