Cristina & Patrick’s La La Land Inspired Eglinton Grand Wedding

I’m not sure where to even start to gush over this Eglinton Grand spring wedding. Cristina and Patrick, dreamed up an incredible evening for their wedding celebration. With the help of the amazing creative team, including Designed Dream and Flowers Time, their dream came true. To say everyone, including the couple were blown away by how the Eglinton Grand was transformed. Well, that would be an understatement.

I got to know Cristina & Patrick during their engagement session at the Distillery District. They are such a fun and genuine couple. I was so excited hearing about their vision for the wedding. They are such fans of La La Land. The film was a perfect inspiration of old Hollywood. It married so well with the beautiful art deco feel of the Eglinton Grand.

Cristina & Patrick’s wedding day started off rainy, and cold. I think secretly [and not so secretly] we were all hoping the weather would smarten up. During their ceremony, which was filled with beautiful Pilipino traditions, the weather began to clear up. When we got to Osgoode Hall for the wedding photos, the sun was out. Granted it was a bit chilly but windy, but the weather was perfectly spring-like. I loved how the bridesmaids dresses were different shades of lilac, pink and blush. Each dress was unique and created a beautiful visual texture. Patrick and Cristina were so lovely and accommodating, it was such a great shoot. I know they wanted to get out of the cold, sun or not.

When we arrived at the Eglinton Grand, Cristina and Patrick took a moment to themselves. They did their first dance, just the two of them [ok, maybe a few cameras], it was sweet, romantic and such a perfect moment to take it all in. Later in the evening, they would surprise their guests with a official first dance, perfectly choreographed.
