He makes the best espresso [it’s the little things] just the way I like it…and is truly one of the nicest people I know…and I’m married to him…lucky, lucky, lucky me!

Five years ago at Toronto City Hall I married my best-est friend… everything was done a little backwards…here is the recap…after dating for over three years, we bought our first place together, 6 months later Yancy got a position in Indy, so we decided to move…but before that, realized it would be so much easier to head to the US if we were married [gotta love the legal stuff]…with the house on the market for sale…we headed to city hall to get married [I swore to myself we would have a proper wedding with friends and family, a wedding dress and all]…we moved to Indy…got engaged [after being married], moved back to Toronto and had a wedding in August of 2008…

For some reason I thought the 2008 wedding would be more of the date we celebrate, but in reality…legally…and [to my surprise] in my heart…the July 18 2006 date is when we actually got married…party or not…

Long story short…even though everything was done outside of the typical time line of events, I am so lucky he wanted to marry me back…and the fact that we have this somewhat unconventional story of how we got married, got engaged and got married again…well it’s a little quirky…but to me that is just perfection!
