This post is super special, I recently got a chance to shoot my dear friend and the love of her life.

I have known Karen since undergrad at Image Arts at Ryerson, we got along right off the bat, started 2nd shooting for each other, eventually taught some courses together. Over the past 10 years we shared tears of joy and sadness, we spat crackers at each other [accidentally…you had to be there, really], she stood by me as I got married [both times…at City Hall and our actual wedding], visited us when we packed up and moved to Indy, helped us unpack when we moved back to Toronto  and is truly one of the sincerest, sweetest, creative, hard working, heart-on-her-sleeve wearing people I know.

As I sit here writing this post, I tear up a bit, Karen is the kind of girl who dreamed of her prince charming and her wedding day. I am so happy that she gets to plan her wedding day, but I am beyond excited that she found Ryan. He adores her, takes care of her, makes her laugh, loves her as she should be loved, is her partner in crime and I’m so glad he’s the person she gets to say I DO to, as he brings out that twinkle in her eye. It melts my heart, and makes me feel that he truly deserves the wonderful things that everyone loves about Karen.

So…hugs and kisses to Karen and Ryan, congratulations on finding each other; and Ryan, thanks for bringing out that twinkle in Karen’s eyes. I cannot wait to dance the night away at your wedding.
