After a long winter the anticipation of the arrival of spring is sometimes too much to bare…and with a few warmer days in the past month which simply teased us…followed by some April snow/rain/yuck [technical term] mixed storms…I’m sooo very ready for spring…so ready that my husband and I reseeded our lawn this past weekend in the pouring rain…hoping for optimal results of course.
This is the first spring in our new house…and I’m very eager to try my hand at gardening…my grandma has the greenest thumb of all, so me being the ‘young grasshopper’ ;o) I will see if any of her green thumb genes made their way down to my thumb! I’ve been reading a bit…asking people for tips and advice…and well…simply giving it a go…this year I will try to grow a bit of a veggie garden that is a bit bigger than a few pots of herbs…I’ve got a few varieties of tomatoes started and some cucumbers…this weekend I’ll get the zucchini going…and once the weather gets a bit better I’ll plant the lettuce outside…wish me luck!
