Finding a Toronto and GTA nature locations for an engagement session can be overwhelming. But I love that the Toronto area has so many awesome options for nature inspired backdrops for a couple’s session. Whichever spot you choose, my suggestion is: always have it be a spot with some meaning to you both. It’ll make the session so much more personal.

High Park

High Park is such a great location for couple’s engagement photos. It is easily accessible by subway. It’s quite vast, and has so many options for backdrops. Some more manicured, and some nice and organic in feel. And there’s something about the light in High Park, it’s kind of dreamy, for a Toronto and GTA nature locations for an engagement session.

Scarborough Bluffs

The Scarborough Bluffs are beautiful. I love starting in the west part of the park, there’s some gorgeous paths and a huge beach. Then as the sun moves, we’ll head to the east part of the park. That is where you get the beautiful view of the bluff as well as the water. This is another location that is just so fantastic for a Toronto and GTA nature locations for an engagement session, no matter the season. Lake Ontario always surprises me with it’s colour. Sometimes being aqua blue.

Phyllis Rawlinson Park

I feel like this is one of my hidden gems. Not anymore, I guess. ;o) It’s a park in Richmond Hill, just north of Toronto and GTA and a perfect natural location for an engagement session, but soooo worth the drive. It has it all, water, trees, grasses, rustic buildings. I absolutely love shooting there. It is not manicured, but has such a beautiful, untouched feel to it. Wildflowers, grasses and beautiful light. Swoon-worthy!

Evergreen Brickworks

In the city, and it has some awesome industrial red brick buildings and plenty of greenery. Evergreen Brickworks is a fantastic option. There are some lovely trails, ponds, and just overall a great vibe.

Island Lake Conservation Area

This Toronto and GTA nature locations for an engagement session was one I recently discovered. We went on a hike, and found this gem. A bit of a drive outside of Toronto, but so pretty. It’s not busy, and a perfect spot for a date night, where you also get some gorgeous photos. Island Lake Conservation area is absolutely beautiful to explore.
