I’m so happy to be posting this wedding.
During the speeches at the reception, Lucy & Todd’s friends and family joked about how Todd introduced Lucy to sports, him being a huge Lacrosse fan and a coach. They also spoke about how thanks to Lucy, Todd’s bachelor diet of pizza pockets has dramatically improved, they joked about how he’s marrying her for her cooking.
I spoke to Lucy a few days before the big day, she mentioned how Todd was so cute and excited and a bit nervous, he was taking notes during the ceremony rehearsal to make sure everything went smoothly. I always mention to my couples, make sure to take moments throughout the day to take it all in, because the whole day just zooms by. After a short silence, Lucy responded: ‘Margaret I am so lucky and happy to be marrying such a good man, he’s just sincere, genuine & just good.’
That made my heart melt. I wish for all couples to remember the little and big reasons they’re marrying their love on their wedding day, and really do take it all in. Everything else is just sprinkles on top of the sundae.
