Kristen & Jonathan

I have always wanted to shoot a Weston Golf and Country Club wedding. This beautiful historic golf course is just a short drive from my home and I’ve passed by it often while running errands and such. So I was super excited when Kristen & Jonathan wanted me to photograph their wedding. Not only because they were a super fun and sweet couple, but also because I was so excited to shoot at this new [to me] location.
Kristen and Jonathan are high school sweethearts. I love when love is able to grow as two people grow together. I would have loved to have met my husband in high school, how lucky are these two to have met each other so early in life.
Their beautiful wedding day was perfectly planned. We started off with a first look at Weston Golf Course, and having access to the entire course, explored the scenery prior to the ceremony. The ceremony was perfectly set under the shade of beautiful mature trees. Jonathan’s brother and Best Man, forgot the rings in the club house, everyone erupted in laughter, as the Mom of the Bride ran in to retrieve the rings in the middle of the ceremony. It was pretty funny, and a first for me at a wedding, the Best Man got teased the entire night about having ONE JOB to do.  After the first kiss as husband and wife, Kristen and Jonathan agreed to a few more photos, after which they joined their cocktail hour with their guests.
The evening was filled with funny and heartfelt speeches & delicious food. The dance floor was opened by a Macedonian bread dance, where the bride and groom and their guests dance with a beautifully baked loaf of bread. Then Kristen & Jonathan tear the bread, and whoever tears the larger piece is said to wear the pants in the relationship. I think it was pretty evenly split. ;o)

Kristen & Jonathan, congratulations, and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day. Adam and I had an incredible time with you.
